Streets Apart Festival is complete! 🎉🦊✨
We danced & sang through the rain and had one hell of a weekend. Thanks so much to each & every person who shone their positivity on the event. From our wonderful visitor, Farrah the Fox and her new friend Frankie to all the parade participants, dancers, singers, poets, DJ's & artists.
Thank you to all the collaborators who worked so hard to make Streets Apart Festival happen. It was a joy to bring these festivities to King St.
For those who don't know, Streets Apart Festival was the culmination of a three year project called Streets Apart, created by a consortium of 9 Wigan and Leigh based organisations, supported by Historic England.
The parade was part of Hi! Street Fest, a national project led by Emergency Exit Arts and Historic England in partnership with six towns across the country, who are all welcoming Farrah the Fox to their place. This national project intends to celebrate local history and heritage, help to improve high streets, and safeguard their future.
